About This Role
We are seeking a skilled WordPress & OpenCart Developer with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in developing, customizing, and maintaining eCommerce and CMS websites. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of WordPress, OpenCart, PHP, MySQL, and front-end technologies, along with the ability to deliver high-quality web solutions.
The candidate should also possess good communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, understand client requirements, and provide technical support when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress and OpenCart websites
- Build and customize WordPress themes, plugins, and Gutenberg blocks
- Customize OpenCart modules, extensions, and templates
- Develop new features and functionality using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Troubleshoot and fix issues such as HTTP errors, bugs, and performance problems
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and shipping modules
- Ensure websites are responsive, optimized, and secure
- Perform website testing, debugging, and deployment
- Manage website updates, backups, and version control
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and team members
Required Skills
- 1–2 years of experience in WordPress development
- 1–2 years of experience in OpenCart development
- Strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Experience customizing WordPress themes and plugins
- Experience working with OpenCart extensions and modules
- Understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations
- Knowledge of Git or version control systems
- Basic understanding of SEO and website optimization
- Effective use of various AI tools
Communication & Soft Skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

- Willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with WooCommerce
- Knowledge of website performance optimization
- Experience with server environments (cPanel, SSH, hosting panels)
- Familiarity with Elementor or Gutenberg editor
- Basic knowledge of Linux server environment
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
